lyrics
Don’t you hide / there’s true love there inside / I don’t mind / and no-one knows your will / it comes in time / the shadows where you’ll find / a jagged line cuts through to you to me / and oh, I’ll miss you most / you’ll never know / and oh, kiss my throat / I won’t say ‘no’ / so won’t you try / the life outside the lie / and don’t you mind / they know it all and still / I can’t quite fight / you off and let it die / I can’t quite hide / this true love there inside / but oh, I’ll miss you most / you’ll never know / and oh, kiss my throat / I won’t say ‘no’ / I won’t say ‘no’ / but oh, don’t give it away / the spire on the hill / the words and the will / the miles left until / the warmth and the still / on the way from Who Knows When / down the road from Never Been / on the way and moving in / found the spot where love begins
I was so lucky to make these songs with friends from Canada and Iceland: Laura Leif, Prins Polo, Benni Hemm Hemm, Clinton St. John and Samantha Savage Smith. We had an international adventure indeed! woodpigeon
A project shared between myself and Kathryn Calder, Frontperson is something I'm terribly proud of. Singing and playing with Kathryn is such a joy, and I can't wait to make our next record together. woodpigeon
Laura Leif is such an inspiration and also a great friend. There's few people I enjoy playing or making music with, and this album is a true beauty I keep coming back to. Love! woodpigeon
It may not be a full-fledged LP, but All Delighted People is probably my favourite of Sufjan's works. Without an overaching album theme to tie the songs together, it felt like Sufjan was free to experiment on each track and give them their own unique sound. And because of that (and Sufjan's talent), every track on there is a standout track. Angkasawan
